MATH CLASSESMathematics Skills are fundamental to solving problems, budgeting money, scheduling time, estimating distances, etc. We offer classes to help your child succeed in life by instilling in them solid math foundations and principles. Most of our teachers have a Master's or PhD in Math, with years of teaching experience. We begin our curriculum with Abacus Mental math for children age 4 and above, continuing through Pre-Calculus class. LINGUISTICS CLASSESThe Chinese Language skill has become increasingly important as China rose to a global economic superpower. Having a solid command of the Chinese language enables you and your child to network with a broader arena of firms, associates, and clients. We equip our students with an advantage over their peers by opening up a world of opportunities to them! Having a glyph character set, the Chinese language invokes and stimulates both right- and left-brain activity. Even before mastery of the language, you will have an improved mental acumen through the process of learning. English Reading & Writing classes enhance your child's comprehension and assertiveness in school, and help them to learn faster and express themselves more accurately. Complete list of course offerings may be found by downloading our catalog below: CULTURE CLASSESChinese Brush Painting is both an art and a mental exercise. The painter is to conceive a mental image and artfully convey that image in smooth, deliberate, and harmonious series of brush strokes. Tai-Chi seeks to position the body through slow, connected motions to promote oxygen intake and to strengthen joints. Mentally, this martial art delivers a permeating sense of tranquility and balance. Increased bone and muscle mass have been attributed to the continued practice of Tai-Chi. In a nutshell, the Simplified Chinese language is quickly becoming the de facto and modern Mandarin language. When you do a search on the Internet, you’ll notice that the Simplified (Han) language websites far outnumber the Traditional (Hwa) language websites. In today’s business arena, the ability to read and communicate with the Simplified character set opens up a world of opportunities to you. The Traditional Chinese language is not obsolete, however. The vast majority of writings which encompass the wealth of Chinese wisdom and culture is still inscribed in the Traditional character set. If you aspire to excel in the fields of medicine, literature, archeology, or other academic pursuits, the Traditional Chinese language is what you need to learn. There is an added bonus. People who know the Traditional language can more or less pick up the Simplified character set quickly, whereas the reverse it not true. In either case, the spoken portion of the Simplified and Traditional Chinese languages are very similar, much like the distinctions between an Yankee accent and a Southern drawl. Learning either flavor the Chinese language enables you to communicate, partnership, and interact with far broader reach of associates than ever possible. |
